FIELD: test equipment. SUBSTANCE: product is placed in a vacuum chamber. The vacuum chamber is evacuated by the main means of evacuation up to the limiting residual pressure. A zone of low pressure is created in the vacuum pressure by means of additional aids of evacuation of the vacuum pressure, whose volume is selected in relation of at least 1:500 to the volume of the vacuum chamber. Initial concentration of test gas in the zone of low pressure is measured. The product is filled with test gas, final concentration of test gas in the zone of low pressure is measured. Product leak-proofness is determined according to variation of test gas concentration. EFFECT: enhanced sensitivity of checking of leak-proofness of space equipment products at a high limiting residual pressure in vacuum chamber. 1 cl
