FIELD: agriculture, soil investigation, medical devices, biology and food industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves measurement of conductance which corresponds to concentration of ions to be detected. This measurement is done by means of capacitor in electric circuit of high-frequency alternating current. Replacement circuit for investigated medium is preliminary chosen using its conductance for normal ion concentration. Then capacitor with replacement circuit is supplied with voltage which frequency is increased from 10 kHz to 100 MHz; voltage level is kept constant for start of frequency range. Extreme point of capacitor conductance for given replacement circuit is detected and frequency which corresponds to extreme point is fixed. Then cell is filled with medium to be investigated and conductance for detected frequency is measured. Concentration of ion to be detected is calculated using correlation function.
