FIELD: arc welding. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing electrodes for manual arc welding of low-carbon and low-alloy steels in all space positions using direct and alternating current sources. It is achieved when using electrode coatings composed, wt.-%: ilmenite concentrate, 30-36; metal carbonate, 5-20; ferromanganese with titanium, 10-15; phlogopite concentrate, 8-35; magnesium hydrosilicate (talc), 2-10; cellulose, 1-3; and manganese metal, 4- 6. Composition may optionally 8-10 wt % of iron powder. Composition ensures obtaining electrodes with good hygiene and sanitary properties with retained mechanical characteristics.
