FIELD: petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: process when oil is preliminarily desulfurized via contacting desalted and dehydrated oil with alumino/nickel/molybdenum and/or alumino/cobalt/molybdenum catalyst charged in mixture with elementary sulfur in hydrogen medium at elevated temperature and pressure is distinguished with that subjected to treatment is desalted and dehydrated oil mixed with organic oxygen-containing compound and preliminarily kept thereafter for 12-24 h, whereas contact with catalyst is carried out at 360-420 C and pressure 45-200 atm. EFFECT: increased desulfurization degree.
