FIELD: metallurgy, namely production of aluminium by electrolysis in cells with preliminarily fired anodes. SUBSTANCE: holder of multiunit anode includes current supply rod and steel traverse bar with nipples and groove mutually connected by welding through bimetallic insert. Traverse bar is built-up one, it has groove in the form of truncated cone whose large base is lower one and vertical connection arranged in center between adjacent nipples in symmetry plane of holder. Depth of said groove consists 0.2-1.0 of traverse bar height. EFFECT: increased service life of holder due to its enhanced reliability, maintainability, technological effectiveness. 2 cl, 5 dwg
