FIELD: electrochemical treatment of articles of bodies of revolution type in electrolyte. SUBSTANCE: working rolls are treated with voltage of 250-270 V and cathode current density of 60-70 A/sq.dm for the time determined by formula T=Ra/k, where Ra is preset roughness value, mcm; k is coefficient of treatment intensity equalling 0.09-0.15 mcm/min. Treatment is effected by immersing of roll into working fluid to a depth equalling 0.035-0.045 of roll diameter with chromium aqueous solution density of 17-25%. EFFECT: higher quality of shadow- mask screens of kinescopes due to obtaining of the required thickness and high uniformity of layer of photoresist and excluded punctures in it made by separate peaks of roughness by preparation of roughness with required angle of inclination of microfaces to base line. 3 cl
