METHOD OF MECHANICAL BREAKAGE OF MATERIALS, MONOLITHS AND ROCK MASS, AND WORKING MEMBER OF SHEARER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical cutting and breakage of materials, monoliths and rock mass, applicable, mainly, in mining. SUBSTANCE: method of mechanical breakage of materials, monoliths and rock mass includes moving of cutting edges of tools over toroidal screw lines of right-hand and left-hand runs. Right-hand and left-hand runs are alternated. Lines of trajectory of edge of the next tool intersect or are intersected with line of trajectory of the preceding tool. Working member embodying the method has auger, whose shaft is installed over the central axis of the working member in body of shearer and kinematically connected with reducing gear of the drive. Built-in between auger and its shaft and rigidly connected to it is body of the additional reducing gear. Additional reducing gear has, on the output ends of the additional shafts, cutting drums which are located over circumference within the external contour of auger flights with cross location of auger shaft axis of cutting drums. In this case, axes of neighboring cutting drums are inclined towards each other, and gears secured onto additional shafts in the body of additional reducing gear are connected with additional regulated drive through intermediate shaft installed in auger hollow shaft. Gears and intermediate wheels may be made of screw type. Additional regulated drive may be connected with cutting drums by shafts joined by hinges. Supporting and bearing units of driven parts of shafts joined by hinges may be made rearranged as turning. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 5 cl, 3 dwg
