GEAR TO CUT DEPRESSIONS IN WORKING SURFACE OF CYLINDRICAL BUSHING OF MARINE DIESEL Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: gear includes body made of two frames so installed that their longitudinal axes are perpendicular to each other. First frame has on one side at least three thrust pins which ends are meant to contact internal surface of bushing and on the other side it is anchored in cylindrical bushing with turnbuckle 16. Second frame is mounted for reciprocating motion along pins of first frame. Mechanism cutting depressions is manufactured in the form of multidisc milling cutter 3 and is installed on second frame. Adapter is fabricated in the form of two-column mount 22 put on thrust pins of first frame and rest 20 positional on it by means of axial movement. Gear is fitted with drive of reciprocating motion of second frame anchored on first frame and turnbuckle 16 manufactured in the form of worm gearing and mounted on free side of first frame. One of screws of turnbuckle has rest to contact internal surface of bushing. Cutting part of milling cutter is made in the form of set of discs arranged at equal distances from each other. Diameters D1 and D2 of adjacent discs are found from dependence D1-D2=const. EFFECT: enhanced operational efficiency. 2 cl, 4 dwg
