FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking blood for examining before and after applying laser treatment, treating the taken and control samples in vitro with hemolytic agent and determining changes in optical density before and after applying the treatment to make conclusions concerning effectiveness of laser therapy. The blood samples are thermostated with lectins before their treating with hemolytic agents administering doses in pre-threshold concentration invoking no erythrocyte agglutination. The results are assessed by observing erythrocyte resistance distribution dynamics in the following manner. The number of erythrocytes of high degree of stability being increased after applying laser therapy treatment of a patient having them in initially low quantity relative to the control group, the treatment is considered to be successful. The number of erythrocytes of low degree of stability being increased after applying laser therapy treatment of a patient having them in initially low quantity relative to the control group, treatment continuation is considered to be advisable. The number of erythrocytes of high degree of stability being smaller after applying laser therapy treatment of patient having them in initially high quantity relative to the control group, the treatment is considered to be inefficient. Wheat ovary agglutinin, peanut, Amygdalus nana and black elderberry agglutinins are suggested to be used as lectins. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of method. 3 cl, 9 tbl
