FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking blood sample, diluting it and standard sample in physiological salt solution to obtain reference concentration of erythrocytes, acting the samples with hydrochloric acid with following determination of case and control samples optic density values at predefined sequential points of time to make conclusions concerning erythrocytes per cent concentration dividing them into characteristic groups from the point of view of steadiness with respect to hemolytic activity of hydrochloric acid as hyper-, hypo-, medium-unstable groups. From this point of view, digestive tract state is evaluated. Before acting with hydrochloric acid on the blood samples, their incubation with lectins is carried out in threshold concentrations stimulating no erythrocyte agglutination. The state of digestive tract is considered to be evaluated by the following method. Increased concentration of highly stable erythrocytes indicates to early stage signs of ulceroerosive injuries of mucosa. Increased concentration of erythrocytes with extremely low stability to hydrochloric acid indicates disease remission. Incubation can be carried out with lectins of glucose-specific group.
