FIELD: purification of water. SUBSTANCE: in a method of purifying water pool surface from oil spot wherein the spot is localized with floating protection enclosure and, after receiving tank is filled with oil- polluted water, oil is separated from water and removed, improvement consists in the following. Opened from above receiving tank is immersed into water within oil spot in such a way as to deepen its upper part below water surface and, when tank is filled, first pure water is pumped away from the tank into pool and then polluted water into cooled tanks operated at a temperature below freezing temperature of water but higher than that of oil. Once water in those tanks is frozen, oil is drained down from the ice surface into accumulating tanks, ice is thawed and melt water is poured out into pool. In addition, floating enclosure is made in the form of ring from elastic tape weighted from below to provide vertical position of tape. Enclosure is contracted as oil is removed from the pool surface. EFFECT: facilitated purification of water. 2 cl, 3 dwg
