FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: underground refrigerator relates to underground storages for foods with utilization of natural cold and also in thawed ground. Underground refrigerator has chamber with walls, thermal-insulating layer, and system of seasonal cooling. Intermediate layer in the form of moistened material is partly thawed in summer and is frozen in winter. This intermediate layer can be made in the form of waterproof vessel which is filled with solution of salt with preset freezing temperature. Aforesaid embodiment of underground storage cooler ensures higher refrigerating capacity, retaining lower temperatures with idle cooling system. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 cl, 1 dwg
