FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: proposed method resides in that ciliary muscle of patient's eye is subjected to relaxation during inter-course period of treatment by simultaneous action of spherical positive lens having focal power of +0.75 ($)0.5 diopter and of prism having focal power of 2.5 ($)2.0 prism diopter and placed with its base facing patient's nose. Each eye is subjected to this procedure. Method can be practised at home, as well as for mass-scale prophylaxis and treatment of initial-stage myopia.
