FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to methods of prevention and treatment of short-sightedness. A therapeutic training is performed with using an optical training apparatus representing an optical system of spheroprismatic lenses and a frame. The training is divided on two stages. A first one is conventional and involves visual acuity checkup for prescribing a training apparatus, putting-on of the optical training apparatus accompanied with an eye haziness effect which a patient seeks to overcome actively by turning a sight from larger to smaller objects, or from closer to more distant objects. The training apparatus is repeatedly taken away for rest, self-control and autofocus stimulation. A second stage includes the exercises consisting in fixing a training apparatus with a hand by a bearing handle and moving it in a sagittal direction anteriad from an anterior surface of an eyeball in a range 1.0-1.2 cm to 3.0±1.0 cm to diplopia and back in an initial position. The exercise is made for 10-15 seconds and multiply repeatedly.

EFFECT: as a result of taking the training apparatus away from the eyeball, an effective force of spheroprismatic lenses gains, and as consequence functional values of eyes increase, and short-sightedness stabilises.
