SUBSTANCE: plant for drying of damp granular material with the aid of superheated steam has cylindrical section 2, in which several parallel, in essence vertically expanded, chambers 6 are arranged in the form of a ring; one or several chambers 7 with a closed bottom, and chambers 6 having vapor-permeable bottom 8; adjacent interconnected chambers, and upper taper section 3 also divided into chambers 6 and which at the lower end is connected to chambers 6 of plant cylindrical section 2; chambers 6 of taper section 2 of the plant are divided into smaller chambers 10 with the aid of inclined guide plates 11, of which at least part of these plates in plant taper section 3 is furnished with facilities for their heating.
