FIELD: drying technology.
SUBSTANCE: device for drying bulk granular material contains an inlet chamber for receiving wet bulk granular material and an outlet chamber for discharging dry bulk granular material. The inlet chamber contains a vapour-permeable base divided into a plurality of subsections, including the first subsection and the second subsection. Each subsection defines the first and the second radial centre line. The first subsection and the second subsection each have at least one louvered flat section containing a plurality of louvered dampers located in the first and second specific directions, respectively, to direct superheated steam in the first and the second discharge directions to the said lower inner cylindrical wall. The specific direction of the shutters of the first subsection defines the first angle relative to the first radial centre line, and the specific direction of the said shutters of the said second subsection defines the second angle relative to the said second radial centre line, while the said first angle and/or the said second angle differ from 0 degrees.
EFFECT: improved mixing of particles already partially dried in the first drying chamber and new particles for uniform distribution of the granular material in the first drying chamber, which will increase drying efficiency.
