FIELD: automobile production.
SUBSTANCE: two versions of a power unit are proposed. The first version is proposed for single-row location of cylinders of internal combustion engines (ICE) when a variable-speed gear divides the row of cylinders into two equal parts located on both sides of the variable-speed gear housing on one geometrical axis. The second version is proposed for two-row location of cylinders of the engine on both sides from the geometrical axis of the inlet shaft of the variable-speed gear, when the engine connecting rods located in one row on one side from the variable-speed gear housing are installed on the axis that is mounted into a plate attaching the above axis to the inlet shaft of the variable-speed gear. A four-stroke ICE and a pulse variable-speed gear have been installed, and an offset scheme of a driving gear of pistons has been used.
EFFECT: improving fuel economy, reducing thermal factor and reducing friction losses.
