FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: rotary apparatus has housing inside which rotor and stator are concentrically mounted; they are provided with passages made in form of subsonic nozzles narrowing towards stator. Subsonic nozzles are made in form of alternating passages-nozzles and converging tube nozzles. Passages-nozzles are smoothly bent widening towards shaft of rotor. One wall of passages-converging tubes is longer that opposite wall by 1.25 - 1.45 times. Cross section of center portion of passage-nozzle is equal to 0.65 - 0.85 of cross section of center portion of passage-diffuser. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
