FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: pivoting unit has nondetachable spider 1 with flats 2 on diametrically opposite pins 3 and clutch members 4 and 5 with nondetachable lugs 6 that embrace the bearing units mounted on pins and provided with radial members 7 and thrust members 8 as well as sealing members. Spider 1 is provided with hollows 16 at the tops of its base 15 that is made up as a parallelepiped. Hollows 16 are bounded with the lines of intersection of the parallelepiped with conical curved surfaces the axes of which are in a bisector plane between pins 3 of spider 1 at an angle to the diagonal of the parallelepiped. The cross-section of the spider in the plane is oval whose sizes do not exceed the sizes of the opening of lug 6 embracing bearing units 7. EFFECT: decreased sizes and mass. 5 dwg
