FIELD: rolling. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to join working rolls of rolling mill with spindle. Gear-type spindle for drive of working rolls of rolling mills has gear-type bushing put on shaft of working roll and casing coupled to it via geared connection, sealing units, limiting rings, covers anchored on shaft of spindle, spherical head with guiding rod and half-coupling embracing casing over splines. Dimensions of head and guiding rod of shaft of spindle are tied up with specified relation. Radial run-out of casing relative to bushing and bending moment on ends of joined shafts of drive are diminished thanks to alignment of center of spherical head of shaft of spindle to kinematic center K of geared connection bushing-casing when casing and half-coupling are aligned. EFFECT: diminished radial run-out of casing relative to bushing, reduced bending moment. 3 dwg
