FIELD: production of fine powders. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing noncrystalline fine powders and coatings for metals and their alloys. Application of invention ensures, with retaining high productivity, elevated quality of final product, and, namely, absence of crystalline phase inclusions and admixtures. High-temperature gas stream is directed along surface of starting material sample and then two-phase stream is accelerated to supersonic velocities followed by gasodynamic cooling of stream when it is supersonically effusing through supersonic nozzle. EFFECT: increased homogeneity of powders. 2 cl, 1 dwg
