FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method comprises incomplete machining of crankpins and main journals over the initial width to form additional fluting planes, setting and securing parts that compensate wearing out to the crankpins and main journals machined, and machining the crankpins and main journals. The optimum distance between the end face of the crankpin or main journal and the beginning of the additional fluting planes is chosen so that to provide the equivalence of the minimum cross-sections of the crankshaft in planes that pass through the lines that are minimum distances between the initial fluting planes of the crankpins and main journals and additional fluting planes of them, respectively. EFFECT: simplified method. 2 cl, 6 dwg
