FIELD: lubricants for wide range of applications; may be used for industrial uses for lubricating automobile motors and refrigerators. SUBSTANCE: lubricating oil is based on glycolic ether carbonates and hydrofluorocarbon. Glycolic ether carbonates have formula 1 $$$, where $$$ and $$$ are identical or different $$$ alkyl groups, $$$ and $$$ are ethylene or isopropylene group, and "m" and "n" are integers from 2 to 20. Lubricating oil comprises as glycolic ether carbonates, bis{2=[2=(2=methoxyethoxy)ethoxy]ethyl} carbonate or bis{2=[2=(2=butoxyethoxy)ethoxy]ethyl} carbonate. Polyglycol ether carbonate is produced by re-esterification of excess amount of corresponding alcohol carbonate with polyalkylene glycol monoalkylic ether, accompanied by distilling-off liberated water. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 6 cl, 3 tbl
