FIELD: environment control. SUBSTANCE: protection of hydraulic engineering structures, docks, canals from floating impurities mainly petroleum products and waste and restricting them for subsequent collection and processing can be effected by barrier having vertical screening strip in the form of belt made from resilient-plastic material kept afloat by doubled floats located in pairs symmetrically at both sides over entire length of strip. Floats are attached to upper edge of screening strip by means of brackets installed with downward incline at angle of 45-50 deg. to surface of screening strip. Floats are of similar length and located at distance between float pairs equal to 0.1-1.0 of float length. Floats located at one side of screening strip can be connected to each other and to wall of embankment by springs. In another version, length of floats located at one side of screening strip is 0.6-0.9 of length of floats located at opposite side of screening strip. Attached to shorter floats is pressure hose with its one end plugged for delivery of compressed air and discharging it from other end. EFFECT: high efficiency. 3 cl, 6 dwg
