FIELD: search for and detection of location of transceiver. SUBSTANCE: method involves comparison of time of passing of electromagnetic and acoustic signals from source of acoustic signal to transceiver in analysis unit. Source of acoustic signal is placed at definite distance $$$ from transceiver, receiver of acoustic signal is located at distance $$$ from source of acoustic signal. Degree of statistic dependence and time difference of arrival of signals to receiver of electromagnetic signal and to receiver of acoustic signal are measured. This difference is used to determine difference of distances $$$ if distance $$$ is known. One version of device has transceiver, receiver of electromagnetic signal, analysis unit, indication unit, receiver of acoustic signal. According to another version device includes transceiver, receiver of electromagnetic signal, source of acoustic signal, analysis unit, indication unit, generator of electric signal.
