FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: ice detector has wire section with built-in heating element, electricity conducting feeler gages kinematically linked with operating mechanism, operating mechanism control circuit, and measurement and indication circuit. Voltage applied to line turns on electric operating mechanism and feeler gages start displacing towards wire section designed to set up electric circuit between conducting feeler gages during measurements. Its high conductivity prevents voltage drop in the course of measurements in absence of ice on conductors. If ice is formed on them, signal picked off feeler gages is converted and passed to INCLUSIVE OR circuit and compared with zero potential. EFFECT: improved efficiency of ice detection. 2 dwg
