FIELD: machine engineering, instrument making, possibly production of THREE-DIMENSIONAL complex-shape articles of powder materials. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of mixing initial powder with additive powder having increased capability of absorbing laser irradiation in comparison with that of initial powder, applying powder in layers onto substrate, selectively sintering powder in layers by action of laser beam according to set of planes intersecting product in direction parallel to layers forming it. Chrome-nickel powder or carbon-containing material may be used as said additive powder. EFFECT: lowered energy consumption due to possibility of sintering layers by action of laser irradiation of less power.
