GRAVITATIONAL CLASSIFIER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: measurement of mass granulometric composition or production of given granulometric composition powders fractions; gravitational classifier is used in biotechnology for production of powders and composite materials and also in perfumery and paint and varnish industries. SUBSTANCE: gravitational classifier has shaft, conical dispersion section coaxially mounted inside classifier shaft. Connected to compressor dispersion nozzle is mounted over conical dispersion section in direction to its vertex. Conical roof with exhaust branch pipe is mounted on shaft upper butt. Cylindrical sleeve mated with dispersion section is mounted in shaft. Diffuser is fixed to shaft from beneath to form ring-type air jacket with nozzle connected to compressor. In ring-type canal formed by shaft and cylindrical sleeve deturbulizing gauges are mounted. Second version of classifier provides, that inside cylindrical sleeve and coaxially to it there is central fairing made as two bases-joint cones. Third version of classifier provides, that inside cylindrical sleeve and coaxially to it there is diffuser to form axial air jacket and to mate diffuser with cylindrical sleeve, in which deturbulizing gauzes are mounted. In the case, forming axial air jacket diffuser is connected to compressor. EFFECT: classifier allows to increase accuracy of particles separation and to decrease their losses. 3 cl, 4 dwg, 1 tbl
