FIELD: precious metals production. SUBSTANCE: invention concerns pyrometallurgical production of precious metals and can be used both in metallurgy and in analytical determination of precious metals. Blend contains precious metals in the form of ore, industrial product, or concentrate (50-60 wt %), and also collector (10-30 wt %), reducing agent (metal magnesium, 9-27 wt %) and fluxing material (8-16 wt %). As collector, natural sulfides and copper and iron oxides, and, as fluxing material, natural halides (e.g., fluorite) are mainly used. Blend is heated to temperature where exothermic reaction begins. Molten mass is cooled, reaction products are dissolved in mineral acid solution, and precious metals are isolated using conventional techniques. EFFECT: improved procedure.
