METHOD FOR RESTORING OBJECT VISION IN BLIND PERSONS Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2082363 C1

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining in advance anatomical integrity and transparence of optical part of visual analyzer, diagnosing visual signal conduction state in patient over separate intervals and over the whole extent of the visual analyzer with the aim of determining their integrity. Then visual analyzer electrostimulation is carried out and corresponding portions of peripheral and central regions of the visual analyzer are exposed to field energy action by means of magnetic field and electromagnetic radiation in various wave band widths providing synthesis of correlated reserve capabilities of cerebral cortex analyzers. The mentioned exposures are to be carried out before the moment the first visual image is perceived and recognized by patient. Microwave, radio, visible and infrared band widths as well as vitally-indispensable fragments of the solar spectrum radiation are used as the electromagnetic radiation. Important feature is that energy action parameters are adjusted in the course of exposure and reserve capabilities of the central region of the visual analyzer of a patient are stimulated to develop by promoting development of intellect functions and organizing their interaction and training. The patient is trained to recognize object patterns according to their shape, color, appearance by transferring information about the object through the coupled cerebral analyzers. Bioenergetic stimulation is additionally applied to the peripheral and central regions of the visual analyzer cerebral cortex regions responsible for intellectual abilities. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 8 cl, 1 dwg
