FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: burning front temperature of self-spreading high-temperature synthesis of dispersed material mixture is measured simultaneously with the aid of thermocouple immersed in it and optical pyrometer based on direct measurement of output signal of photodetector calibrated at preset wave length of thermal radiation from unit of heated body surface. This done, coefficient of overpay of pyrometer optical field of vision by burning front field is determined from relation , where A1 is amplitude of first minimum of pyrometer photosensor output signal; A2 is amplitude of output signal of pyrometer photosensor at the moment indications of thermocouple and pyrometer coincide. True burning front temperature of self-spreading high-temperature synthesis of dispersed material mixture is determined by photosensor output signal with multiplicative correction inversely proportional to overlap coefficient.
