FIELD: adjustment of angle of obliquity of controlled wheels of automobiles having independent rear wheels suspension. SUBSTANCE: gear is mounted on automobile from beneath before wheels are put. Front suspension is compressed by two pneumatic cylinders. Angle of obliquity is adjusted manually by means of measurement mechanism including indicators measuring positions of butt surfaces of hubs of front wheels. Measurement mechanism is hinged by two longitudinal rods to basing mechanism of hubs of rear wheels. Proposed design of basing mechanism takes into account positions of butts of both hubs of rear wheels summing all deviations and sensing corrections to indicators. Basing mechanism is composed of two half-beams intercoupled by vertical joint. Contact blocks pressed to butts of hubs of rear wheels by lever clips are mounted on opposite ends of half-beams with the aid of two hinge parallelograms. Longitudinal rods are installed in parallel to each other and are hinged to half-beams. These hinges are positioned in symmetry with joint with vertical axis joining two half-beams.
