METHOD OF SURGICAL TREATMENT OF FEMALE URINARY STRESS INCONTINENCE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, urology. SUBSTANCE: rectangular fragment is cut from vaginal wall, then is rolled up in cross direction as a tube and fastened along the edges with nonabsorbable ligature. Cystocele plasty is conducted, in suprapubic area along lateral walls of urinary bladder pricking is conducted of tissues and frontal vaginal wall. Needles are removed into vaginal lumen to catch ligatures fixed to fragment edges and reversely directed into suprapubic area to be fixed above aponeurosis. Vagina is fastened with separate catgut sutures. Method involved 49 patients aged 56.7 years. Good results are observed in 89% patients. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 dwg
