FIELD: biochemistry, more particularly improved process for preparing muramylpeptides (muramyl peptides proper and glycoaminylmuramyl peptides). SUBSTANCE: claimed process comprises preparing activated ester of unprotected N- acetylmuramic acid or N-acetyl glycoaminyl β(1-4)N- acetylmuramic acid, condensing said ester with unprotected amino acid, peptides or salts thereof in pyridine, homologues thereof of admixtures with organic solvents and recovering the desired product using chromatography. The claimed process makes it possible to obtain pure muramyl peptides with high yields using small stage diagrams of synthesis. EFFECT: more efficient preparation process. 3 dwg
