FIELD: reservoir construction industry. SUBSTANCE: reservoir wall strip is welded of sheets assembled stepped-like with creation of edges of stepped configuration. Steps of initial edge are cut off and temporarily fixed in slots of final edge. After assembling of mounting joint, these steps are replaced with preliminarily rolled sheet inserts which are used as templates for assembling of adjacent bands. For obtaining uniform deformation of strip at winding around framework, made on initial and final edges are members of variable flexibility in the form of triangles with base equal to double width of band. Mounting joints are arranged in zone of locating manholes and pipe connections. Left in first band at stage of production is opening, in which later installed is sheet insert with preliminarily welded-in manholes and pipe connections. Welding of mounting joint is performed in following succession: first sheet inserts are welded in, then after successive cutting of overlength, joints are welded in adjacent bands in reverse direction.
