FIELD: devices to detect and warn of emergency caused by emergence of self-sustained chain reaction during production, processing and storage of fissionable material. SUBSTANCE: indicator of emergence of self-sustained chain reaction has ionizing radiation detector 1, meter 2 of dosage rate of ionizing radiation and threshold device 3 which output is connected to lengthener 4 of operation pulse of light alarm and device 5 to pick up operation pulse of audio alarm connected correspondingly to light 6 and audio 7 alarms. Pulse lengthener can be manufactured in the form of reservoir capacitor, resistor of large rating and comparator observing voltage drop of capacitor or in the form of timer with logic OR gate.
