SUBSTANCE: used for lacing together of bundle-like product 15, especially of a comparatively large cross-section with an alternating direction of locating (type SZ), is device 1 having rotor 4 rotating with an alternating direction of rotation and/or at an alternating rotational speed, with two opposite drive chains 7 for product 15 driven in parallel with the rotor axis along an endless trajectory. Along the preset path section determined by clamping plate 16 the product is embraced by clamping catches 14, directed and released again by them. Clamping catches 14 beyond this path section, in addition to attachment to drive chains 7, are forced along an endless trajectory. EFFECT: improved design. 3 cl, 4 dwg
