FIELD: food industry; production of puffed cereals for food and fodder products. SUBSTANCE: heat treatment of cereal products is conducted in two stages. At the first stage, product is heated for 30-90 s by infrared energy up to 95-105 C without changing its moisture content. At the second stage product is heated up to 120-180 C for 20-60 s by electromagnetic field of UHF with specific power not more 5 kJ/kg.s. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 tbl
