FIELD: transport engineering; automobile bumpers. SUBSTANCE: bumper 1 has inner panel 3 and outer panel 2 with upper and lower edges connected lengthwise with overlapping and fixed by bolts, thus forming closed box section. Inner panel 3 made of plastics is secured to support surface of body and is made open at side of outer panel, as shown in Fig.1. This increases energy absorbing properties of bumper and makes it possible to arrange wiring accessories of working liquid reservoirs inside bumper.
