FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed bumper has outer panel 1 and inner panel 2 connected with overlapping over bent edges of inner panel. Inner panel 2 is made as solid part with -shaped cross section pointed by open side to outer panel 1 and is provided with stiffening ribs in form of longitudinal webs 5 and cross webs 6 and with reinforcement members concentrically arranged on end parts. Said reinforcement members are made in form of two hollow cylinders of different height arranged in parallel with longitudinal axis of body. Reinforcement member 7 has bottom part by means of which inner panel 2 is connected to support surface of body by bolted joint. Stiffening ribs 13, 14 are uniformly spaced over inner and outer surfaces of reinforcement member 7. Said ribs form increased rigidity section. Invention provides higher energy absorbing properties of bumper, increased rigidity at impact, improved manufacturability in making of outer and inner panels, reduced number of components. EFFECT: reduced labor input in mounting of bumper and cost of unit as a whole. 2 cl, 4 dwg
