SUBSTANCE: low-pressure steam turbine has inlet through which steam is supplied under operating conditions and which is closed under ventilation conditions , outlet communicating with steam condenser and placed of branching between inlet and outlet. Pipeline to take off steam and/or condensate under operating conditions is connected to place of branching. To provide cooling of steam turbine under ventilation conditions, steam is delivered into intake pipeline along steam bypass pipe. Condensate is preferably delivered into intake pipeline. According to invention, cooling action is limited by heavily loaded components under ventilation conditions and means for cooling are taken off from available sources.
