ELECTRODE WIRE FEEDER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; welding and surfacing equipment; device for mechanized feeding of electrode wire. SUBSTANCE: device has base 1, feed mechanism mounted on base 1 and flexible hose 7 with guide channel for electrode wire connected with welding torch and modulator 6 which has carrier 9, drive 10, regulator 14 and scale 15. Carrier 9 is connected with flexible hose 7 and is coupled with adjustable drive 10. Carrier is installed for reciprocating in direction of electrode wire feeding at outlet of feed mechanism. Regulator 14 and scale 15 serve to adjust carrier travel. Proposed invention enlarges operating capabilities, makes it possible to carry out welding and surfacing at two rates, both with and without welding current modulation. Independent control of current at welding and surfacing rate is provided by changing speed of electrode wire feeding and modulation. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 5 dwg
