FIELD: polymerization processes. SUBSTANCE: synthetic film-forming materials are prepared by cationic static copolymerization of components of piperylene-containing hydrocarbon mixtures at 50-120 C. According to invention, promoter fed into ageing zone additionally contains C3-C6-alcohols (propanol or butanol, or isopentanol, or hexanol) at molar ratio of lower carbonyl compound to alcohol equal to (0.5-1.0):1. Resulting polymer is further subjected to double ageing and two degassing operations. EFFECT: increased yield and improved waterproofness and drying time of product. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 2 tbl, 10 ex
