FIELD: metal working. SUBSTANCE: method aims at increasing corrosion resistance and involves pulse treatment of carrier surface by intensive high- temperature plasma beam generated by coaxial erosion-type plasma accelerator. Method provides rapid heating of surface region of carrier modifying its metallurgical structure with no significant heating of underlying basic mass of carrier. Thereafter, rapid cooling follows preventing nucleation and growing of crystals and, associated with it, phase segregation and separation of additives or carrier constituents.
