FIELD: electrodeposition processes. SUBSTANCE: zinc-iron alloy is deposited onto worn surfaces of machine parts, in particular, hydraulic pump housings, cylinder block supports in internal combustion engines, gears, etc. Electrolyte contains, g/l: zinc sulfate, 250-300; iron chloride, 60-100; boric acid, 25; sodium fluoride, 10; and (C6-C12)-alkylammonium hydrochloride, 1-3. EFFECT: improved physico-mechanical characteristics of coating: adhesion strength, structure, and reduced dendrite formation. 1 tbl
