FIELD: laser engineering. SUBSTANCE: laser has active element, pump lamp, NPVO gate with plane-parallel gap, and piezoelectric transducer for controlling the gap, pump lamp power unit with C-L discharge circuit, and gate control unit; novelty is that gate control unit is built around capacitive voltage divider connected in parallel with pump lamp and having one of its sides formed by additional newly introduced capacitor connected to positive electrode of pump lamp and its other side formed by gate NPVO capacitance; it also has one more C-L discharge circuit with thyristor switch connected in parallel with NPVO gate; additionally introduced inductance coil of mush higher inductance than that of additional C-L discharge circuit is inserted between capacitive voltage divider sides; capacitor of additional L-C discharge circuit is connected to power unit L-C circuit of pump lamp through additionally introduced charge circuit.
