FIELD: powder metallurgy, particular, production of particles of zirconium dioxide with coating applicable in manufacture of refractory products and composite high-temperature materials. SUBSTANCE: the offered method consists in simultaneous grinding and application of coating during evaporation under the effect of laser radiation with power of 0.5-8.0 kW and pressure of 1-101 kPa. The offered method ensures improvement of properties of ultrafine powders of zirconium dioxide with additives of oxides of aluminium and yttrium due to production of particles spherical in shape with layer structure. Average diameter of particles is 13-40 nm. Produced powder is ideal for production of dense ceramics with minimal size of grain of zirconium dioxide. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
