FIELD: powder metallurgy, particularly, methods of production of particles from zirconium dioxide with addition of aluminum oxide applicable in structural ceramics. SUBSTANCE: superfine powder includes the following components, wt. %: ZrO2 75; Y2O3 5; Al2O3, 20. Superfine powder is produced by chemical precipitation from salts solutions, treated in fluidized bed with horizontal ray of infrared CO2-laser. Laser radiation power is 800 W, powder flow rate is 10 t/min. Method provides for higher properties of powder due to production of superfine powder which consists of brittle porous aggregates with smoothed defect of surface layer of individual particles, increased powder dispersity to particles sizing 10-16 nm and preservation of roentgenoamorphous state. Produced powder is ideal raw material for production of dense fine-grained ceramics based on zirconium dioxide. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
