FIELD: shipbuilding; submersible transport facilities operating under ice conditions. SUBSTANCE: tanker has inner and outer pressure hulls connected by means of interside framing members. In middle portion, outer hull has form of polyhedron with flat faces engageable by means of cylindrical surfaces. One face is located in CL which imparts ice-breaking shape to hull. Fore portion is hemispherical or ogival in shape and portion is taper in shaper. Fore and aft portions are engageable with middle portion of hull by means of flat wedge-shaped and taper surfaces. Cargo compartments are made in form of polyhedrons - prisms or pyramids-and their plating is matched with inner pressure hull. Rigidity and strength of hull are increased which makes it possible to perform surfacing in ice of up to 2 - 3 m thick breaking it by hull. EFFECT: enhanced safety of transportation of petroleum products under ice conditions. 4 dwg
