FIELD: biotechnology, medicinal microbiology, food industry. SUBSTANCE: nutrient medium has dairy whey as a base. Whey is clarified by the successive treatment of the defatted milk with acid or alkali. Medium has also dried or liquid yeast aulolyzate and, additionally, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, ammonium chloride and magnesium sulfate heptahydrate at the following ratio of components, wt.-%: clarified dairy whey 7.5-10.0; lactose 0.3-0.5; dried or liquid yeast autolyzate 0.2-0.3 and 2-3; D,L- cysteine 0.05-0.1; NaH2PO4•2H2O 0.7-0.8; NH4Cl 0.1-0.15; MgSO4•7H2O 0.015- 0.020; agar-agar 0.075-0.080, and water - the rest, pH = 7.2- 7.4. The proposed medium can be used for production of eubiotic preparations and bifidum-containing foodstuffs. EFFECT: improved quality of the nutrient medium.
